Bookie & Cookie

There is a bit of cleverness in this book, where one character lives on the left side pages and the other character lives on the right side pages and they interact from their different but close “homes.”

However, their interactions are why I would skip this one. They are best friends, but they get mad - which there is nothing wrong with teaching a little one about anger - but then they fight verbally, stick tongues out, and are kind of mean to each other. All reactions I don’t want my little one to learn are normal or ok reactions to being upset. The story is simple so there isn’t much beyond that to overcome the reasons why I would skip this one.

Cautions: The behavior mentioned above.
