Rabbit, DUCK, and BIG BEAR
This is a cute story about friendship and how we are still individuals within a group of friends. The three animals play together every day in the woods and the book talks through the things they do together throughout the year. The story is good, but not something that really plays on the imagination or draws the audience in in a way that the book is requested over and over.
The best part of the book is it let my little one imagine and talk about doing various activities in the woods throughout out the year and I got to hear which ones are most exciting (like ice skating or playing in the leaves.)
The illustrations are cartoony and the facial features of the animals are exaggerated in a random way that to us makes the animals feel less like you would imagine a bear or a duck or a rabbit to be. (To us the illustrations actually take away from the book a bit.)
