Marley and the Great Easter Egg Hunt
This is a fun book. I googled “Marley” (the main character, the dog) because I thought I remembered Marley being in a series of stories, and he is. According to Google there are seven titles and the author wrote the books after his own yellow lab - which, after having our own dog, makes the stories even more entertaining.
The illustrations are full of energy and just as I would expect at Easter, colorful. The story is chaotic, but in a what I assume is a very predictable, fun, Marley manner. Marley is a happy, high energy, affectionate, puppy.
The story is fun and entertaining, which a lot of the time is more than enough. If this story had just a little more, a little more depth, something to learn or something loving and unique, it would easily be a favorite.
Cautions: There is a lot of high energy chaos, but I don’t think that is anything that warrants concern.
